Why the Right Flooring Can Make a Difference to Your Business
Share
Have you ever walked into an office, showroom or shop and immediately thought, “This place looks good”?
It’s usually not just one thing. The lighting, furniture, colours and layout all work together — and the flooring underneath it all can have a surprisingly big impact on the overall feel of the space.
For businesses that welcome customers through the door, that first impression matters.
Your Workplace Is Part of Your Business Image
We often think about logos, websites, signage and social media when it comes to presenting a business. But what customers see when they actually visit you is just as important.
An office that feels clean, modern and well put together can create a completely different impression from a space that feels tired or unfinished.
That doesn't mean every business needs an expensive renovation. Sometimes changing one major part of the interior — like the flooring — can make the whole space feel refreshed.
A Recent Real Estate Office Project
We recently completed a flooring project for a local real estate office.
For this space, Preference Floors De Marque Herringbone 600 × 120mm in Riesling was chosen.

The warm timber look and herringbone layout worked really nicely with the existing office, helping give the space more character while still keeping it professional and welcoming.
And that's really what this project was about — not making the floor the centre of attention, but making the whole office look better.
Think About What Your Customers See
For a real estate office, customers might be coming in to discuss one of the biggest decisions they'll ever make — buying, selling or renting a home.
The office doesn't need to feel luxurious, but having a space that feels looked after and professionally presented can help create the right environment.
The same idea applies to plenty of other businesses.
Whether you have a showroom, retail store, reception, salon or professional office, your customers experience the space around them while they're doing business with you.
Sometimes the Space Just Needs an Update
If you've been looking around your workplace thinking it feels a little dated, you don't necessarily need to change everything.
Updating the flooring can change the appearance of a surprisingly large part of the interior and help your existing furniture, walls and décor feel fresh again.
That's what we liked about this real estate office project. The flooring didn't need to shout for attention.
It simply helped turn the office into a warmer, more polished and welcoming place for both customers and staff.
